I checked the library, to see if they had any information on hiking trails, but they didn’t have anything. I did get a book on Arizona ghost towns, so I will be checking out a few of those.
The librarian was very helpful. It was a man. I don’t think I’ve ever met a male librarian. But he made me a color copy of a map of Arizona and told me a few places not to miss, I hadn’t even heard of the one place. Fountain Hills, or something like that. It is the biggest fountain in the world, in a lake, and it goes off every hour. I will try to find that on the GPS.
Frank Lloyd Wright was a genius. Anyone who has visited Fallingwater in PA would understand. I was playing with my GPS and found something called the Frank Lloyd Wright Spire. I decided to see what it was all about.
It is not by FLW, but was designed by two people who studied under him. I will be going back there in the daylight, to be able to see the entire park area properly.
It also prodded my memory and I remembered there was a house here in Arizona somewhere. When I read the info marker at the Spire park, I found out Taliesin West is in Scottsdale, which is part of the Phoenix metro area. I will be putting that on my list of must see places.
This picture is for Jen, the wretched Yankee fans are all over! lol
