Here are 3 more of the impressive collection of hotels in Las Vegas. First, The MGM. I love the color of the building.
It is that color because MGM is the WIzard of Oz movie makers, you know, Emerald City. Even though I can’t watch the Wizard of Oz, I still like the color! It is also the largest hotel in Vegas with over 6,000 rooms! Crazy big!
Leo, the MGM lion. When the hotel first opened you had to walk through a lions mouth to enter. But they were not getting enough of the Asian gambling crowd. They found out in Asian cultures lions are thought to steal luck, so of course they stayed away. Now you just walk through a door.
Then there is The Excalibur. The architect designed it how he thought a medieval castle would look. Obviously, he has never visited an actual castle.
Finally we move on the Egypt and The Luxor. The light on top of the pyramid can be seen from space!
